Rootstock Festival 2018 in retrospect!
A Festival between wine tastings and country picnics
From July 13 to July 15, Château de Pommard opened the doors to its magnificent domain and gardens, arranged for the occasion around two stages: one dedicated to the young talents of the Rootstock label, and a main stage that hosted Jungle, Breakbot and Keziah Jones, the three headliners of the 2018 edition.
Preoccupied with the environmental issues and ecology surrounding the production of their wines, the Carabello-Baum family, owners of the Château since 2014, installed a Pop-Up Hotel consisting of nine luxury tents. These select few festival-goers were able to stay in the heart of the Festival and savor beautiful country picnics, and along with the festival as a whole, bike rides, yoga classes, and wine tastings. Finally, the festival put on a fireworks show over the castle on Bastille Day and screened the World Cup Final Game thanks to a giant screen installed in the main courtyard of the property.
rootstock will return in 2019!
Château de Pommard will host the 3rd edition of the Rootstock Festival next summer, along with a New School of Oenology in September 2018 composed of three new experiences to learn the secrets of wine tasting, pairing and wine selection.
