Stuttgart Electronic Music Festival Lineup 2017
Year after year, SEMF brings together an array of local heroes with the elite of electronic music. For the kickoff of the second decade, some of the most prominent artists will once again make their way to Stuttgart.
Sven Väth is arguably the most important and defining figure of German Techno history. A global super star, who has stayed in touch with his roots – perfectly suitable for the SEMF line-up. “Babba” will once again demonstrate why he deserves his place as one of the greatest and invite guests to the “Electrica Salsa”.
Another integral part of the impressive SEMF history is Chris Liebing, who brings his massive techno sound to Stuttgart almost every year since 2011. Raw sound in every way: “Straight in your face” has been his slogan since forever, and this will not change in 2017.
A true SEMF premiere is the debut of Laurent Garnier. The award-winning recording artist, producer, label owner and author was recently added to the star-studded line-up. Another first time is Solomun, who plays a major role in redefining European house music with productions, remixes and DJing by taking the very building blocks of House and deftly reconstructing them with a modern twist.
As ever, the SEMF team have banded together a crew of the electronic elite, with Russian aristocracy Nina Kraviz, who is bound to deliver a unique mix spiced up with her dark techno flavours.
The true spirit of SEMF lies in the perfect combination of international heavyweights, underground superstars and local heroes: “Komme Was Wolle” – by this slogan, local artists and crews have assembled to entertain the crowd at SEMF since the very beginning of the festival. This year, the organizers will once again welcome a multitude of talented artists from all sorts of disciplines.
Of course, this is not the full extend of the line-up for SEMF 2017. More acts are joining the festival, including Len Faki, Recondite, Aka Aka, Bebetta and Dominik Eulberg.
Continuing a SEMF tradition, festival mascots Dundu and Bimbi will illuminate the festival grounds and, of course, pay a visit to the dance floors.
