Allow us to introduce to you to the Georgian Electronic Music Festival, short GEM Fest. If you didn’t hear about it yet, you should consider to take a minute and read about it. Maybe it will be your next destination for this year's party vacation!

Imagine a month full of joy, happiness, sun, beach, flirting and dancing to finest electronic beats from some of the world's biggest house, techno, and trance DJs. At the latest events PAUL VAN DYK, FEDDE LE GRAND, PAUL KALKBRENNER, LUCIANO and many more blew the crowd away.

This year's lineup hasn't been fully announced yet, but a fantastic mix of acts like SOLOMUN, ROGER SANCHEZ, DUBFIRE, BORIS BREJCHA and SANDER VAN DOORN, to name a few, will make the beach tremble and make you dance to their beats.

The festival takes place from 14.07.17 – 14.08.17, right on the beach of Anaklia, a seaside resort town in Georgia, and the village of Ganmukhuri, situated across the river and connected to Anaklia through one of the longest pedestrian bridges in Europe. 

During the festival days, this 18-hectare area will turn into a joyful, happy and vibrant place. The infrastructure includes 8 stages, dozens of catering spots, tent megalopolis GEM City, which can accommodate 10,000 people, and plenty of art installations.The organizers provide tents you can rent, or you are free to bring your equipment. For those who would rather stay in a Bed and Breakfast or a hostel, there are some in Anakila in a walking distance from the festival or in Zugdidi, it is just a 25-minute drive, which can be easily accessed from Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi by car, taxi, and train.  

The festival was created by the organizers of Kazantip and Exit Festival and been put together in collaboration with the Georgian Government and the former Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration Giorgi Sigua. 

The idea is to provide a platform for great artists like the renowned DJs from all over the world but also all the unknown, excellent newcomer and to uncover the priceless „gem“ that is hidden in those talents.

The war of secession (1992 – 1993) took place in Abkhazia, a break-away region of Georgia, so the idea of raising a multicultural electronic adventure like this in an area, where fun events were rare, is great and it hopefully will change the people minds about this region. The Logo shows a precious stone, hidden away in an unsuspecting cut of rock and bursting out of it… The festival and the idea behind the whole concept sets a sign for new beginning and hope – all that expressed by electronic music.
