SYNDICATE 2018: "The hardest night of the year"

Hardcore, Hardstyle and Hardtechno on three floors at SYNDICATE on October 6 in Dortmund, Germany.

On the 6th of October the biggest German festival of hard electronic music celebrates its 12th edition. Up to 20,000 fans are expected in the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund. More than 35 international DJs and live acts are on the decks of the three floors. International stars of the scene such as Angerfist, Radical Redemption, Miss K8, Partyraiser and Destructive Tendencies will be present.

"Welcome to Westfalenhell" - this is the welcome of up to 20,000 visitors for the 12th time on the 6th of October. Germany's biggest festival of harder electronic music is considered by fans to be the "toughest night of the year". Because celebrations are held in Dortmund's Westfalenhallen from 20-06 o'clock to hardcore, hardstyle and hardtechno. "What punk rock is to rock'n'roll, the Harder Styles are to electronic music: loud, cheeky, unconventional," says Oliver Vordemvenne from the organizer I-Motion. "It is a musical niche - but with a large following. The atmosphere at SYNDICATE is peaceful, warm and exuberant. Even if the partly dark clothes and the bizarre masks of the fans suggest something else. They are a committed community and celebrating together is the focus of their attention," Vordemvenne continues.

The line-up is promising: 35 international DJs and live acts are on the decks of the three floors. The largest floor is located in the Arena (Westfalenhalle 1). The world's leading hardcore label Masters of Hardcore presents absolute stars of the scene. More than one million Facebook fans speak for themselves at Angerfist in the Netherlands. For years, the DJ has filled event halls alone with up to 10,000 visitors. With Dogfight some of the hottest hardcore artists of the moment are collectively on stage. The live act is a project of the label of the same name by DJ Mad Dog. He is supported by AniMe, Noize Suppressor and Unexist.

In the Hardstyle Kingdom DJ stars like Public Enemies and E-Force play. Radical Redemption is an artist with a live set on the decks who, as the highest placed hard style act, made it to position 44 in the top 100 of the biggest scene magazine DJ Mag. The Rough Zone is dedicated to the genre Hardtechno. Agents of Change and BMG, among others, provide hard bass.

"Hard electronic music means that it doesn't just depend on the volume, but above all on the quality of the sound system and the right level control," says Oliver Vordemvenne. "In addition to music, SYNDICATE also includes elaborate stage constructions and spectacular productions using light, laser, LED and pyro technology."
